Communicating Live Feed Guidelines to Event Attendees
The Live Feed feature in Cadence allows attendees to share posts, photos, and engage with each other during your event. Establishing clear guidelines for Live Feed usage helps maintain appropriate content standards and ensures a positive experience for all participants. By communicating these expectations through the Live Feed Menu › Settings section, you can set the tone for social interactions at your event.
When to use
When launching a new event with Live Feed enabled
When implementing content moderation for compliance reasons
When encouraging specific types of engagement from attendees
When setting expectations for professional communication
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to configure Live Feed settings and create guidelines for attendees.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Create a document with your Live Feed guidelines.
Include specific examples of appropriate and inappropriate content to make expectations clear.

Include guidelines in your event welcome email or notification.
Add guidelines to your event's home page or a dedicated FAQ section.
Create a brief video explaining the Live Feed and your guidelines if time permits.
Train your event team on the guidelines and moderation procedures.
Send a notification to all attendees when the Live Feed becomes available.
Use the notification to highlight the benefits of participation while reminding attendees of the guidelines.
Monitor the Live Feed during your event to ensure guidelines are being followed.
Troubleshooting
If attendees report they cannot see your pinned guidelines post, verify that the Live Feed menu item is visible to all attendee groups in your event's menu settings.
