Optimize Speaker Profiles for Attendee Engagement
The Speakers feature in Cadence allows you to enhance presenter profiles to maximize attendee interest and interaction. From the Speakers Menu › Settings area, you can implement best practices for speaker information, images, and content that will increase profile views, drive session attendance, and create more meaningful connections between presenters and participants.
When to use
When preparing your event to go live
When speaker profiles have inconsistent or incomplete information
When you want to increase attendance at speaker sessions
When creating a more engaging experience for attendees
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to optimize speaker profiles. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Speakers" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Speakers option, you may need to enable it first through Event Setup › Menu.
Review your current speaker profiles for completeness and consistency.
Standardize profile images by ensuring all speakers have professional headshots.
For best results, use square images (1:1 aspect ratio) with minimum dimensions of 220x220px.
Edit speaker biographies to follow a consistent format and length.
Keep biographies concise (150-200 words) and highlight relevant expertise and accomplishments.
Add social media links to increase networking opportunities.
Include speaker credentials that establish authority in their subject area.
Link speakers to their schedule items to help attendees find their sessions.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the Speakers page.
Choose your preferred sorting method from the "Sort By" dropdown:
"A-Z (Last Name)" for alphabetical sorting
"Custom order" to highlight keynote or featured speakers first
Click "Save" to apply your settings.
Changing from custom order to alphabetical sorting will override any manual speaker arrangement you've created.
Preview speaker profiles in the attendee view to verify their appearance.
Collect feedback from a test group before finalizing all profiles.
Troubleshooting
If speaker profiles aren't generating expected engagement, verify that all profiles include compelling descriptions, professional images, and are properly linked to schedule items that attendees can easily find.
