The Registration Form in Cadence allows you to collect specific information from attendees during the registration process. Through the Registration Menu › Schedule section, you can enable attendees to pre-select sessions while completing their event registration, streamlining the process and helping you plan for session attendance.
When to use
When setting up a new event's registration process
When you want attendees to select schedule items during registration
When managing capacity for sessions by setting selection limits
When streamlining the attendee experience by combining event and session registration
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify registration settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Registration" from the submenu that appears.
If you don't see the Registration option, you may need to enable it first in your event settings.
Click on the "Form" tab at the top of the page.
Toggle "Enable Registration Form" to turn on the registration form feature.
Disabling this setting will remove the registration form from your event's registration process.
Click on the "Schedule" tab at the top of the page.
Toggle "Allow Schedule Selection During Event Registration" to enable this feature.
Check the "Minimum Selections" box if you want to require attendees to select a minimum number of schedule items.
Enter the minimum number of required selections in the field that appears.
Setting a minimum ensures attendees engage with at least some content, but keep requirements reasonable to avoid registration abandonment.
Check the "Maximum Selections" box if you want to limit how many schedule items attendees can select.
Enter the maximum number of allowed selections in the field that appears.
Leave this field blank if you want to allow unlimited selections.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Troubleshooting
If schedule items aren't appearing for selection during registration, verify that the schedule items have registration enabled in their individual settings under Schedule → Options → "Enable Registration and waitlist".
