Set Maximum Limits for Elective Schedule Item RegistrationsThe Maximum Number of Elective Schedule Items setting in Cadence allows you to control how many optional sessions each attendee can register for during your event. This feature helps manage session capacity, ensures fair distribution of popular sessions, and prevents attendees from overcommitting to too many activities. You can access this setting through the Schedule Menu in your event's admin dashboard.

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify schedule settings.
How to do itLog in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Settings" from the submenu that appears.
Locate the "Maximum Number of Elective Schedule Items" setting.
Check the box to enable this feature.
Leaving this setting disabled will allow attendees to register for an unlimited number of schedule items.
Enter the maximum number of schedule items each attendee can register for.
Consider your event structure when setting this limit. For most events, a limit between 3-5 sessions works well to balance choice with fair distribution.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
TroubleshootingIf attendees report being able to register for more items than your set maximum:
Verify that the setting has been properly saved
Check if the attendee registered for items before the limit was implemented
Ensure the limit applies to the specific schedule items in question
