Live Polling allows you to create interactive audience participation during your event sessions. Through the Schedule Menu › Settings section, you can enable this feature to engage attendees with real-time questions and collect immediate feedback during presentations or discussions.
When to use
When you want to increase audience engagement during presentations
When gathering instant feedback from attendees
When conducting knowledge checks during sessions
When creating interactive competitions based on audience responses
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify Schedule settings.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Schedule" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Settings" from the submenu that appears.
Locate the "Enable Live Polling" checkbox in the settings panel.
Check the box to enable the Live Polling feature.
When enabled, Live Polling becomes available for all schedule items in your event.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Navigate to any schedule item where you want to use polling.
Select the "Live Polling" tab within the schedule item details.
Create your poll questions and response options.
You can create multiple poll questions for a single schedule item.
Configure the "Force Next Question" setting if you want to control the timing of questions.
When "Force Next Question" is enabled, advancing to the next question occurs immediately and will not wait for users to finish submitting their answers. Un-submitted responses will not be saved.
Save your poll questions to make them available during the session.
Troubleshooting
If Live Polling isn't appearing as an option for your schedule items after enabling it:
Verify that you've saved your settings changes
Check that your event license type supports Live Polling
Ensure the schedule item has a future date (polling is not available for past events)
