How to track lead engagement metrics

The Leads Menu in Cadence provides powerful tools for monitoring how effectively your team is engaging with leads captured at events. From the Leads Menu › Edit section, you can access analytics and reporting features that help measure lead acquisition, follow-up activities, and conversion metrics. This guide walks you through setting up and analyzing lead engagement metrics to optimize your event ROI.

When to use

  • When evaluating the effectiveness of your lead collection strategy
  • When measuring team performance in lead follow-up
  • When preparing post-event ROI reports
  • When identifying high-value lead sources or categories
You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to access all lead analytics features.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Leads" from the left sidebar navigation.
Click on "Reports" from the Leads submenu.
Choose "Analytics" to view the lead metrics dashboard.
Set a specific date range at the top of the page to compare lead engagement across different event days.
Review the key metrics displayed in the dashboard:
  • Total leads captured
  • Leads by category/qualifier
  • Scan activity by team member
  • Lead quality distribution
Filter the data by clicking the "Filter" button in the top-right corner.
Select specific categories, team members, or lead sources to analyze.
Compare lead acquisition rates against your event goals.
The system automatically tracks duplicate scans, which can help identify highly engaged prospects.
Click on any graph segment to drill down into specific lead details.
Export the analytics report by clicking the "Export" button.
Select your preferred format (CSV, Excel, or PDF).
Schedule recurring reports by clicking "Schedule Report" if you need regular updates.
Scheduled reports will be sent to your registered email address. Verify your email is correct in your profile settings.
Return to the Leads list to take action on high-priority leads based on your analysis.

Troubleshooting

If your metrics appear incomplete or inaccurate:
  • Verify all team members are using the Cadence app for scanning
  • Check that lead categories are properly configured in your lead settings
  • Ensure your date range selection includes all relevant event days
  • Confirm that customer matching is properly configured if tracking matched leads
