The Leads Matching feature in Cadence helps you connect scanned leads with existing customer profiles. When you navigate to Leads Menu › Matching, you'll see leads with potential customer matches that need your review. Confirming or dismissing these matches helps maintain accurate customer records and streamlines post-event follow-up.
When to use
When reviewing potential matches between scanned leads and existing customers
When confirming accurate customer matches after lead scanning
When dismissing incorrect match suggestions
When preparing for post-event follow-up with matched customers
Customer Matching must be enabled in your event settings to access this feature.
How to do it
Navigate to the Leads section in your Cadence dashboard.
Select the "Matching" tab at the top of the screen.
Locate a lead with "Ready for Match" status in the list.
Click on the lead to view potential customer matches.
Review the lead information and compare it with the suggested customer profiles.
Pay attention to the confidence score displayed with each potential match. Higher scores indicate a stronger likelihood that the lead and customer profile represent the same person.
Examine details such as name, email, company, and title to determine if it's a correct match.
Click "Confirm Match" if you identify a correct match.
If Customer Matching is enabled with an Ensemble form selected, confirming a match will automatically create an engagement record for the customer.
Select "No Match" if none of the suggested profiles match your lead.
Return to the Matching list to continue reviewing other potential matches.
Filter the list by status using the filter options in the top-right corner to focus on specific matching statuses.
Troubleshooting
If no leads appear in the Matching tab:
Verify that Customer Matching is enabled in your Lead settings
Confirm that leads have been scanned at your event
Check that the matching process has had time to complete (may take a few minutes after scanning)
