Setting Up Administrator Roles for Live Feed Management

The Live Feed feature in Cadence allows you to control who can manage content and moderate posts within your event's social feed. By configuring administrator roles properly, you can ensure the right team members have appropriate permissions to oversee Live Feed content, approve posts when moderation is enabled, and maintain quality standards throughout your event.

When to use

  • When assigning team members to manage Live Feed content
  • When implementing a content moderation workflow
  • When delegating Live Feed management responsibilities
  • When setting up compliance oversight for social content
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to configure Live Feed management roles.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Choose your feed structure by selecting either Single Feed or Multiple Feed.
Multiple Feed mode allows you to assign different administrators to manage specific feeds, providing more granular control.
Enable Post Approval by checking the "Enable Post Approval (Main Feed)" option if you want to implement content moderation.
Click Save to apply your settings.
Navigate to the "Events Team" section in your event's admin panel.
Add administrators who should have Live Feed management permissions.
Assign the Event Manager role to team members who need to approve posts.
Only users with Event Manager or Administrator permissions can approve posts when moderation is enabled.
Return to the Live Feed settings page.
Verify that your settings have been saved correctly.
Test the workflow by having a team member submit a post for approval.
Check the Moderation tab to ensure administrators can see and approve pending posts.

Troubleshooting

If administrators cannot see the Moderation tab or approve posts, verify they have been assigned the correct role (Event Manager or Administrator) and that post approval has been enabled in the Live Feed settings.
