How to customize your registration page URL

Customize Your Registration Page URL

The Registration Page URL Short Name setting in Cadence allows you to create a custom, branded URL for your event's registration page. Through the Registration Menu › Settings section, you can specify a short name that becomes part of your event's registration URL, making it more memorable and professional for attendees.

When to use

  • When setting up a new event's registration process
  • When you want a branded, easy-to-remember registration URL
  • When sharing your registration link in marketing materials
  • When creating multiple events and need distinct URLs for each

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify registration settings.

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Registration" from the submenu that appears.
Click on the "Settings" tab at the top of the page.
Verify that "Enable Event Registration" is toggled on.
Disabling this setting will prevent attendees from registering for your event.
Select your preferred "Registration Type" from the dropdown menu.
Enter your desired text in the "Registration Page URL Short Name" field.
Use simple, memorable text without special characters or spaces. Hyphens are allowed to separate words.
Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Test your new URL by visiting your event's registration page.

Troubleshooting

If your registration page URL isn't working properly, check that:
  • The URL Short Name doesn't contain spaces or special characters (only letters, numbers, and hyphens are supported)
  • "Enable Event Registration" is toggled on
  • You've selected the appropriate Registration Type
  • You've saved your changes after updating the URL Short Name
