The Rooms menu in Cadence allows you to efficiently apply configuration settings from one room to multiple others. Through the Rooms Menu › Settings section, you can copy appointment availability, resources, and other settings to save time when configuring multiple similar rooms, ensuring consistency across your event spaces.
When to use
When setting up multiple rooms with similar configurations
When making last-minute changes to multiple room schedules
When standardizing room settings across an event
When you need to quickly configure many rooms with the same parameters
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to copy room settings. The source room must have appointment configurations already set up.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Event Setup" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Rooms" from the dropdown menu.
Click on the room name that has the configuration you want to copy.
Choose a room that already has all the desired settings configured correctly, including appointment availability, resources, and booking rules.
Scroll down to find the "Apply to other rooms" button.
Click the "Apply to other rooms" button to open the configuration copy dialog.
Select the target rooms that should receive the copied settings.
Do not select the source room as a destination room, as this can cause configuration issues.
Review which settings will be copied:
Date and time availability
Daily hours
Resources
Food & beverage options
Booking permissions
Double booking settings
Click "Apply" to copy the settings to the selected rooms.
This action will overwrite any existing appointment configurations in the target rooms.
Verify that the settings were successfully applied by checking one of the target rooms.
Troubleshooting
If room settings aren't properly copied, ensure you haven't selected the source room as a destination. If issues persist, try applying settings to one room at a time rather than in bulk.
