The Speakers feature in Cadence allows you to showcase presenters on your event's Home page, increasing visibility and helping attendees discover key speakers before exploring the full speakers list. From the Speakers Menu › Settings area, you can configure display preferences and then add speaker profiles to Home page tiles, creating an engaging entry point that highlights featured presenters.
When to use
When promoting keynote or VIP speakers on your event Home page
When you want to highlight specific speakers without requiring navigation to the Speakers page
When creating a more engaging Home page with speaker spotlights
When driving attendance to specific sessions by featuring their presenters
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to feature speakers on your Home page. You'll need to have already created speaker profiles and configured your Home page layout.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Speakers" in the left sidebar menu.
If you don't see the Speakers option, you may need to enable it first through Event Setup › Menu.
Select the "Settings" tab at the top of the Speakers page.
Choose your preferred sorting method from the "Sort By" dropdown:
"A-Z (Last Name)" for alphabetical sorting
"Custom order" to manually arrange speakers
Click "Save" to apply your speaker display settings.
Navigate to "Home" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Settings" from the submenu that appears.
Scroll to the "Content Tiles" section.
Click the "+" button to add a new content tile.
Content tiles are the modular components that make up your Home page layout.
Select "Speakers" from the tile type options.
Enter a title for your speakers tile (e.g., "Featured Speakers" or "Keynote Presenters").
Choose how many speakers to display in the tile.
Limiting to 3-6 speakers creates a focused display without overwhelming the Home page.
Select which speakers to feature by checking the boxes next to their names.
If using "Custom order" sorting, speakers will appear in the same order on the Home page as they do in your Speakers list.
Configure the tile layout and appearance options.
Click "Save" to add the speakers tile to your Home page.
Return to your Home page to verify the featured speakers appear correctly.
Troubleshooting
If speakers aren't appearing on your Home page after configuration, verify that the speakers have complete profiles with images uploaded, as incomplete profiles may not display properly in featured tiles.
