Set Up Onsite Services Type

The Onsite Services Type setting in Cadence allows you to specify what kind of support will be available for your event. Located in the Cadence Services Info › Info section, this setting helps coordinate the appropriate support resources for your event, whether it's virtual, onsite, or a combination of both.

When to use

  • When planning a new event and determining support requirements
  • When updating service needs for an existing event
  • When configuring hybrid events that need both virtual and onsite support
  • When changing an event from virtual to in-person or vice versa

Before you start

You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to modify Cadence Services Info settings. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

How to do it

Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
Click on "Event Setup" in the left sidebar menu.
Select "Cadence Services Info" from the submenu that appears.
If you don't see the Cadence Services Info option, you may need to scroll within the sidebar menu or check your permissions.
Locate the "Onsite Services Type" dropdown field in the form.
Select the appropriate option from the dropdown:
  • TBD: Indicates the service type is still being determined
  • Virtual: For events that will only have virtual support
  • Onsite: For events that require in-person support only
  • Virtual and Onsite: For hybrid events requiring both types of support
  • None: For events that don't require any support services
Consider your selection based on your event type and format.
Selecting "Onsite" or "Virtual and Onsite" may require additional coordination with your Cadence support team.
Review the "Hardware Required" field to ensure it aligns with your service type selection.
If you select "Onsite" or "Virtual and Onsite," you may want to set "Hardware Required" to "Yes" if equipment is needed.
Click "Save" to apply your changes.
The system will not save if any required fields are incomplete or contain invalid values.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot access or save changes to the Onsite Services Type:
  • Verify that you have the proper permissions (System Administrator or Event Manager)
  • Ensure all required fields are completed
  • Check that your event is in an editable state (not archived or locked)
