How to integrate third-party registration platforms with Cadence

Integrate Third-Party Registration Platforms with Cadence

Cadence allows you to connect external registration systems like Cvent, Eventbrite, and other platforms to your event. This integration enables attendee data to flow automatically from your third-party registration system into Cadence, eliminating manual imports while ensuring your event data stays synchronized.

When to use

  • When using an external platform for registration that offers integration capabilities
  • When you need payment processing features not available in Cadence's native registration
  • When you want to maintain existing registration workflows while using Cadence for the event experience
  • When you need to synchronize attendee data between systems automatically
You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to configure registration integrations.

How to do it

    Navigate to your event in the Cadence admin dashboard.
    Select "Registration" from the left sidebar menu.
    Click on the "Options" tab.
    Scroll to the "Registration Type" section.
    Select "External Registration" from the dropdown menu.
    Choose your integration platform from the available options.
Common integrations include Cvent, Eventbrite, and custom webhook API connections.
    Enter the required credentials for your selected platform.
For Cvent integration, you'll need your Cvent Event Code, which can be found in your Cvent event settings.
    Configure field mapping to connect registration data with Cadence profile fields.
    Set up group mapping to automatically assign attendees to appropriate groups based on registration data.
For example, you can map Cvent's "Virtual" or "In-Person" indicators to corresponding groups in Cadence.
    Select your email notification preferences:
  • Disabled: No emails sent from Cadence
  • Welcome Email: Send standard welcome email
  • Registration Confirmation: Send confirmation email
    Configure any additional integration-specific settings.
    Click "Save" to apply your integration settings.

Troubleshooting

If attendees aren't appearing in Cadence after registering through your third-party platform, verify that:
  • All required credentials are entered correctly
  • Field mappings are properly configured
  • The integration is authorized and active
  • Your third-party platform is correctly sending data to Cadence
When using external registration, attendees may see a message indicating their registration is being processed and will be reflected in Cadence once synchronized.
