How to search and filter the attendee list

The attendee list in Cadence provides a comprehensive view of all event participants. Using the search and filter functions, you can quickly locate specific attendees based on various criteria such as name, company, role, or group membership. This helps you efficiently manage large attendee lists and find the people you need to connect with during your event.

When to use

  • When looking for specific attendees in a large event
  • When you need to find attendees with particular characteristics
  • When organizing attendees into manageable groups
  • When you want to view attendees by specific criteria

How to do it

    Log in to your Cadence account.
    Navigate to your event dashboard.
    Click on "People" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Attendees" from the submenu.
    Use the search bar at the top of the attendee directory to search by name, email, or company.
The search function works with partial matches, so you can enter just a portion of a name or email address.
    Click the "Refine" button to access advanced filtering options.
    Select filters from the available options, which may include:
  • Attendee groups
  • Attendance status (Registered, Checked-in, etc.)
  • User type (Admin, Event Manager, Regular User)
  • Custom fields specific to your event
    Apply multiple filters by selecting options from different categories.
Filters work together to narrow down results. For example, you can find all checked-in attendees from a specific group.
    Click "Apply" to view your filtered results.
    Clear filters by clicking the "Clear" button or removing individual filter selections.
    Switch views using the view toggle in the upper right corner to see attendees in either Profile View or List View format.
List View often works better for large filtered results as it displays more attendees per screen.
    Sort results in List View by clicking on column headers.

Troubleshooting

If your search returns no results, check that:
  • Your spelling is correct
  • You haven't applied too many restrictive filters simultaneously
  • The attendee you're looking for is registered for the event
  • The attendee hasn't chosen to be hidden (if that option is enabled)
