The Groups feature in Cadence allows you to modify group details, update membership, and adjust visibility settings after initial creation. From the Groups Menu, you can edit any aspect of a group including its name, description, image, and administrative settings to ensure your groups remain organized and relevant as your event evolves.

When changing group visibility settings
When modifying group administrative permissions
When updating the group image or description
Before you start
You must have System Administrator or Event Manager permissions to edit groups. If the group is marked as "Administrative," only administrators can modify it.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence Admin account.
Navigate to your event dashboard.
Select "Groups" from the left sidebar menu.
Locate the group you want to edit in the groups list.
Click on the group name to open its details page.
You can use the search bar at the top of the Groups page to quickly find a specific group.
Click the "Edit" button in the upper right corner of the group details page.
Modify the group name in the "Group Name" field if needed.
Update the description to better explain the group's purpose or membership criteria.
Change the group visibility by toggling between "Public" and "Private" if necessary.
Public groups are visible to all attendees, while private groups are only visible to members and administrators.
Upload a new group image by clicking on the current image and selecting a replacement.
Toggle the "For Administrative Use Only" setting if you want to restrict the group's visibility in the platform.
Enabling the Administrative setting will hide this group from the general group list in the attendee interface, making it visible only in the admin site.
Click "Save" to apply your changes to the group.
Navigate to the "Members" tab to add or remove group members if needed.
Click the "+" button to add new members or the "Remove" option next to existing members to remove them.
Save any membership changes before leaving the page.
Troubleshooting
If you cannot edit a group:
Verify you have Admin or Event Manager permissions
Check if the group is an Account-level group, which can only be edited at the account level
Confirm the group is not linked to an external system that manages its membership
