How to leverage Weglot translations for multilingual events

The Integrations menu in Cadence allows you to set up multilingual support for international events through Weglot translation services. This feature translates your event website content into multiple languages, making it accessible to attendees from different regions and language backgrounds.

When to use

  • When hosting international events with attendees who speak different languages
  • When you need to provide event content in multiple languages
  • When planning events in regions with multiple official languages
  • When compliance requires offering content in specific languages
Weglot translation only works for the web version of your event, not the mobile app.

Before you start

  • You must have Admin or Event Manager permissions to configure Weglot translations
  • You need a valid Weglot API key (contact your Cadence representative if you don't have one)
  • Ensure your event content is finalized before enabling translations

How to do it

    Navigate to your event dashboard in Cadence Admin.
    Click on "Event Setup" in the left sidebar menu.
    Select "Integrations" from the dropdown menu.
    Check the box next to "Enable Weglot language translations for the event website (App Translation not supported)".
The Weglot API key is required when enabling this feature. Without a valid key, the translation service will not function.
    Enter your Weglot API key in the field that appears.
    Click "Save" to apply your integration settings.
    Visit your event website to verify the language selector appears (typically in the top-right corner).
    Test the translation functionality by selecting different languages.
For important content, review the automatic translations and make manual adjustments in your Weglot dashboard if needed.
    Communicate to your attendees that multilingual support is available for the event.
    Monitor translation usage during your event to gauge its effectiveness.

Troubleshooting

If translations are not appearing on your event website:
  • Verify your Weglot API key is valid and entered correctly
  • Ensure you've saved your integration settings after enabling Weglot
  • Check that your Weglot account has sufficient word credits for translation
  • Clear your browser cache and reload the page
