Managing Post Moderation and Approval Workflows
The Live Feed moderation features in Cadence allow you to review and approve content before it appears to event attendees. When enabled, all posts submitted to feeds will require administrator approval, helping you maintain content quality and compliance standards while still encouraging audience participation.
When to use
When compliance requirements necessitate content review
When you need to filter inappropriate content
When organizing Q&A sessions with controlled responses
When managing sensitive discussions during events
Before you start
You must have Event Manager or Administrator permissions to configure and manage post approval workflows.
How to do it
Log in to your Cadence admin dashboard.
Navigate to your event management page.
Select Live Feed from the left navigation menu.
Click the Settings tab at the top of the page.
Choose your feed structure by selecting either Single Feed or Multiple Feed.
Multiple Feed mode allows you to apply different moderation settings to each feed, giving you more granular control over content approval.
Locate the "Enable Post Approval (Main Feed)" checkbox in the settings panel.
Check the box to require admin approval for all posts.
If you enable post approval, ensure you have team members assigned to review and approve posts promptly during the event to avoid delays in communication.
Click Save to apply your settings.
Navigate to the "Moderation" tab that appears after enabling post approval.
The Moderation tab is only visible when post approval is enabled.
Review pending posts by clicking on each post in the list.
Approve or decline posts using the corresponding buttons.
Add a reason when declining posts to provide feedback to the poster.
Create clear content guidelines for your event and share them with attendees to reduce the number of posts that need to be declined.
Monitor the Moderation tab regularly during your event to ensure timely approval of new posts.
Troubleshooting
If the Moderation tab doesn't appear after enabling post approval, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
